We invite you to take a look at our fall opportunities to see if there is an activity that appeals to you! Please join us!
August 29: Book Discussion on the book Falling into Place by Hattie Kauffmann at 11:30am in the Potter Room.
September 12: Introduction to the 6-session Bible Study–Bible Stories for Grown-Ups by Josh Scott. There will be a meet and greet, an overview of the study, and a time of
devotion. Books will be distributed. Official dates for the study are September 19, and 26, and October 3,10, 17, and 24. All women are welcome to participate.
October 20: Church dinner after the 11:00 service. All are welcome. More info to follow.
November: Women are busy planning ways to help the congregation focus on thankfulness. Watch for more information in a few weeks. Pecans will be also sold by the
women in November. It is the plan to have them available before Thanksgiving, but we are at the mercy of our supplier.
December 8: Cookie Extravaganza: The women will gather in the Fellowship Hall kitchen to make cookies, assemble cookie trays and pack up prepackaged foods and needed items
for Ronald McDonald House, CAMC Hospitality House, fire stations, police stations, emergency rooms, etc. People may also donate their own homemade cookies or other items that will be advertised as needed by these agencies. Time will be determined later.
Our year-long project is providing BEST DAY BOXES (sometimes called Birthday Boxes) to Heart and Hand in South Charleston. Church attendees purchase all things needed
for a young person’s birthday party and place in a disposable cake pan taped shut or tied with a ribbon. Then they are dropped off in groups of 20 once a month. Different groups in the church will take responsibility for purchasing items and putting these boxes together. When more completed boxes or specific items are needed, the congregation will be notified.
